Sergio Perez has finally found a podium that was missing from the Miami Grand Prix. In Austria it was a weekend of ups and downs. In qualifying, on Friday i track limits they took away the possibility of starting from the front rows. The Mexican was therefore called upon to make a difficult comeback also considering the excellent performances and the starting position of the two Ferraris. Despite this terrible start, the rest of the weekend continued without any particular problems. On Saturday came the double in the Sprint race. The podium on Sunday, but after a close battle with Carlos Sainz. Perez also risked finding himself among the group of those penalized for track limits.
The difficult comeback put Perez in the position to say "ok, something has to change, I can't find myself in this situation". The team, like him, needs confirmation and this will have to arrive at Silverstone.
Perez's words
"It was a very difficult weekend in Austria – says Perez at the press conference at Silverstone. “With the whole team we managed to understand and resolve the problems of the last races, I am sure that I will be able to return to the level at the beginning of the season." The Mexican also felt ill on Thursday in Austria, which is why he missed last week's conference. The physical condition had an impact but it is certainly not the first or only problem Perez has had. His performance from Miami onwards, considering the car he drives, the RB19, has been somewhat disappointing, too. Lots to carry Helmut Marko to doubt its value, questioning it.

At the moment the Red Bull driver is far from his teammate and from a hypothetical world championship fight. But the goal is to confirm at least second place in the drivers' standings but to do that you need consistency. “I didn't feel one hundred percent physically and my team helped me a lot. From structure to strategy we really hit the mark. Now I feel confident for Silverstone. I took some time to rest and make sure I'm ready physically, because I want to maintain this performance until the summer break." concluded the Mexican.
