After a week's break we're back on track with the FP1 of the Miami GP. This will be the first and single free practice session this weekend as the sprint race is scheduled. This also means that for the Fantasy manager there is only this opportunity to be able to observe the single-seaters on the track before having to line up your team. As for the circuit this is a “semi citizen" with a very smooth asphalt which causes little wear on the tires in which medium-slow curves alternate with long straights. For this reason many teams prefer a medium unloaded trim. At the end of the FP1 once again it is McLaren to excel with Piastres, Followed by Leclerc e Verstappen.
Miami FP1 begins with teams looking for the perfect set up
10 minutes after the start everyone came down with the yellow ones and it's the new father Max Verstappen to set the best time. However, there is still a lot of room for improvement. In fact, after him, many other drivers manage to stop the clock faster and faster: among which we can remember Russell e Norris. The Ferrari at the beginning of FP1 in Miami, however, it seems to be a bit struggling to find the right set up both in terms of height and rigidity of the single-seater. These problems also have an impact on the performance of the drivers who are currently P9 e P10. However after the changes there is a slight improvement, but despite this Leclerc is located in P6 e Hamilton in P8. Instead it's a 1-2 Mercedes up front.
Some teams also test the race pace including Mercedes, which with Russell seems to be very constant but still not at the same level as the McLaren. Also Ferrari It looks like it's doing a few long run simulation laps and getting on the same pace as Mercedes.

Fast lap for Piastri and session ended early by a red flag
With 10 minutes to go, everyone is getting on red rubber and the first to mark the time are the two pilots of the Williams, but after them everyone starts to improve. The session ends with Piastres in first position in 1:27.128 followed by Leclerc to +356 and Verstappen at +430. instead Norris can't finish the lap because of one red flag caused by Bearman which goes into a spin at turn 11. On the contrary, the two drivers of the Mercedes decide to end the session continuing the simulation of pace garand without attempting the fast lap.

Miami FP1 ends with many question marks still remaining
Among the big names Mercedes it is the only one that has brought small novelties for this GP with a new rear wing which should limit aerodynamic resistance without removing load points. Despite this, it is McLaren which continues to prove itself the strongest with Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull very close to each other. Instead, as far as the midfield is concerned, the two most solid single-seaters seem to be the Williams, which turns out to be very stable, and the Racing Bulls.
