A relationship that only lasted 3 months. The McLaren has in fact announced the farewell of David Sanchez. In fact, the Working team, through an official note, announced the departure of the engineer who had only recently joined the team.
McLaren, Sanchez's farewell is official
Based on what is reported by the Working team, it seems that the reasons behind theSanchez's farewell from McLaren, are linked "following many discussions" received over the course of these months, presumably regarding the organization of the team between now and the next seasons. In fact, Zak has recently joined McLaren Brown has signed his contract renewal until 2030, as well as Norris who signed a multi-year extension.
The new organizational chart
With Sanchez's farewell, therefore, things change the organizational chart within McLaren: Houldey will be the new technical director of engineers. However, Prodromou's position as head and director of aerodynamics has been confirmed. News, however, for Andrea Stella who, in addition to carrying out the role of team principal of the team, will temporarily hold the role of technical director of the team.
And now room for the track
McLaren, following a fairly positive start to the season, has the aim of trying to raise the bar. In Australia two weeks ago we saw the first signs of the car proving to be second strength behind Ferrari, although Red Bull's non-performance should be highlighted. For the moment, however, the Papaya team has shown that it is ahead of both Mercedes (which finished second in the constructors' championship last year) and Aston Martin, fighting with McLaren last season for fourth (then obtained by Stella's team) position in the constructors. This year McLaren aims to grow even further and it will do so with the new organizational chart following the changes made due to Sanchez's immediate departure.
