Charles Leclerc he did not get the result he was hoping for, knowing that he did not have the right temperature to turn on and optimize the soft tires since Q3. Since 2029 the Monegasque hopes to repeat himself, but the goal seems to be increasingly distant. The fourth place seems to be the maximum that can be achieved in qualifying at Monza.
Keeping McLarens in your sights, Leclerc disappointed by soft tyres in Monza
Alongside George Russell, Charles Leclerc paints the second row red, in fourth position. From the frustration of not being able to get the soft tyres up to temperature, he comments on his qualifying session in Monza.
"We couldn't solve the problem of getting the Softs up to temperature, which we had already noticed in FP1. It's frustrating not to have made progress in those corners. We are very close in race pace, McLaren remains to be seen but they will be fast. With the push of the fans and the updates we want to have a good race, keeping them in the DRS and trying to overtake them."

The gap to the cars in front is not that great and the race pace could help the Prancing Horse team, which is thus hoping for excellent collaboration between the car and the team strategy.
"We haven't been able to make any progress. In my opinion we are very close, we need to understand how much engine the two McLarens in front will have because yesterday they were running with very low engine power. They will certainly be very fast, we will try to have a good race like last week and try to fight for the podium staying in the DRS."
"He was definitely a bit stronger in Turn 1-2," he said of teammate Carlos Sainz. "It's something we'll look at again, and we've already looked at it. We haven't made a step forward with my setup on that side."
"Up until Turn 5 we had exactly the same problems as in FP1. In FP2 it was just understeer, we couldn't turn the car. In FP3, for some reason, the problem was gone, then in qualifying it came back. This is frustrating, because I think we lost more than two and a half tenths in four corners at the beginning of the lap, then it's very difficult to get back up. But now we have to focus on the pace, tomorrow I don't expect to have the same problems."
THEexpectation of Charles for the “home” race it is therefore a podium to give to the fans. We just have to wait for the Italian GP race tomorrow at 15:00 live on SkySport F1 and streaming on NOW.
