Charles Leclerc he looks at the Saudi Arabian GP with a smile and in a positive way at the end of FP2 held in Jeddah. The pilot of the Ferrari, following Thursday's free practice which ended in fourth place in the second session, analyzed the improvements seen on the SF-24. The feeling with the car is there, as is the feeling that the step forward compared to Bahrain has been made. “The feeling was ok. They all seem pretty fast and strong. Now – explains Leclerc – we will go to homologation in qualifying and try to maximize the package. We have taken a step forward compared to Bahrain. Now it's time to see where we are".

GP Saudi Arabia: Leclerc's comment after FP2 in Jeddah
The Monegasque was particularly positive with his race pace, also showing confidence on the soft tyre. A good sign that certainly gives the fans hope ahead of the race, even if there is a Verstappen who, in this respect, pushes more than everyone else. Precisely for this reason, Leclerc's mind is already on qualifying, scheduled for tomorrow at 18pm (same time as the race which will take place on Saturday 00 March). Trying to reach the first pole of the year will certainly not be easy, given the high level of the opponents. The Monegasque, however, believes in it and hopes to be able to position himself in front of everyone. “I don't know, it's hard to say. At the moment, however, I can say that I expect to be able to fight for the front row”. After the fourth place achieved in Bahrain, Leclerc hopes to be able to have a reliable SF-24 also for the Jeddah GP, with the great objective of trying to annoy Red Bull and achieving the first podium of the season, which would be the second for the Ferrari after Sainz took home with third place in the GP in Bahrain.
