Formula 1 is ready to race at Monza, the temple of speed. A recently renovated circuit, as well as the home of the Ferrari. A weekend, then, very particular for the two Scuderia drivers. This is what he talked about Charles Leclerc in the press conference in preparation for the Italian Grand Prix.
Leclerc in press conference: "I don't think we can go beyond the podium. Updates will help"
The Monegasque is coming from a great race in Netherlands. P6 at the start, P3 at the end of the race. A great step forward demonstrated by the SF-24. And thanks to this, the #16 managed to keep up with a pressing Oscar piastri. Furthermore, Leclerc arrived at just 2.8 seconds from Max Verstappen. However, we must keep in mind the distance from the winner Lando Norris: 25 seconds. For this reason, Charles does not want the latest performances to change the fans' expectations: "The last two podiums must not change our expectationsWe are well aware that we are in a difficult moment, but The Zandvoort race made us understand many important things. At the moment the goal is not victory, but we can fight for the podium. We have brought some updates – continued Leclerc – the moment we put it all together, we should be back on the right track. Monza is not a circuit where we can understand much about these new pieces. Tracks like Baku and Singapore will be important testing grounds".

“Monza is a different weekend because it is special. Lewis doesn’t need any instructions”
A special weekend for Ferrari, which will compete at home. Lots of emotions for those who drive for the prancing horse, and next year it will be the turn of Hamilton. Charles, instead, talked about his emotions in these years spent driving the Rossa. But above all of the pressure what awaits those who wear red: “It’s a completely different weekend from the others. There is pressure from Monday to Sunday, but this gives you a lot of energy. We have always used our lighter set-up to do well, and we hope to repeat that. When you are at the racetrack you see the whole passion of the fans, the joy in their eyes and the support towards the whole team. Lewis [Hamilton] doesn’t need any guidance. Experiencing these emotions with him next year will be a really special feeling.”.
