After the fairytale victory in Monaco, a horror qualification in Canada: Charles Leclerc will start for the race from11th position, trying to gain as many positions as possible. In the sixth row, the Monegasque will be joined by his teammate Carlos Sainz, which completes a Saturday to forget for Ferrari. Let's find out Leclerc's words after qualifying.
Leclerc: “We can't explain why we are slow”
“Qualification compromised by new tyre? I do not think so, every lap we did we were between eighth and twelfth place. I'm pretty angry, I did the lap a little early and there was even a McLaren in the middle of the track in bend 10″.

“Putting everything together, the result of this qualification is that we are not fast enough. We have to understand because in Monaco we were very fast and here we are nowhere. There is certainly a huge lack of grip which however we cannot explain".
A double elimination that hurts, especially after the double podium (with victory) in Monaco. In Canada a year ago, however, Leclerc and Sainz started eleventh and tenth respectively and both finished the race in the top 5 despite having an apparently slower car than the one at their disposal this year. Cavallino's hope is to repeat what was done a year ago, to try to keep alive a global dream which, born after Monaco, does not want to die so quickly.
