The rain, which was supposed to arrive yesterday during qualifying, paid off with interest. Rain, unpredictability, pit stop problems and misunderstandings. Everything and more. But, despite everything, Max's signature could not be missing from his home Verstappen who also wins the Dutch GP. The world champion never stops and finishes ahead of Fernando Alonso and Pierre's exceptional Alpine gasly. Fifth instead Ferrari by Sainz, while Leclerc was forced to retire following contact with Piastri. Let's discover together the report cards of the top ten of the Dutch GP.
The report cards of the Dutch GP, the podium
Max Verstappen
What is there to say. This time he had to sweat more than expected to take home his ninth consecutive victory. Impressive numbers from a rider who, despite his dominance, never ceases to amaze. Vote 10.
Fernando Alonso
We missed him. It's been a while since we've seen an Aston so good that Fernando could be the real lion. Incredible race, characterized by a desire to never give up, just consider the attempt to attack Verstappen on the restart. Rating 9.5.
Pierre Gasly
Wonderfully Pierre. He gets on the podium thanks to the penalty inflicted on Perez, but it is worth highlighting the super comeback - once again thanks to the strategy - which earned him, after the Belgian Sprint, his first real podium of the season. Rating 9.
Off the podium
Sergio Perez
Qualifying proves, once again, not to be his strong point, while in the race he pays for his mistake in the pit lane, missing out on the podium. Error, looking at the final result, too decisive. Rating 5.
Carlos Sainz
The car didn't run. There is little to say about his performance in Holland. He did what he could. At Ferrari there is so much to do. However, it should be underlined his excellent defense in the final laps against Lewis Hamilton. Rating 7.
Lewis Hamilton
She had to cancel her Saturday, after qualifying thirteenth. No sooner said than done. A true seven-time world champion performance from the Mercedes driver who, we can say, has undoubtedly redeemed himself. Rating 7.5
Lando Norris
He pays for the delay in his pit stop as soon as the rain arrived. He manages to reach the points, but we certainly expected more. Rating 5.
Alexander albon
Author of a fantastic weekend. Williams had shown that it could aim for something important this weekend, also confirmed by the fourth position in qualifying. Rating 8.
Oscar piastri
In difficulty for almost the entire weekend, despite always being inside the points. Rating 6.
Esteban Ocon
It was a bit like Alpine's race. Gasly hits the podium, he - who started sixteenth - the tenth position which could have been much higher if only he hadn't tried the joker - which didn't work out - by fitting wet tires on the return of the rain. Rating 7.5.
