Ferrari wonderfully, Carlos wonderfully Sainz. It is the Spaniard's SF-23 that stops - at least for this reason weekend – the Red Bull domination. An incredible performance by Sainz who climbs to the top step of the podium ahead of Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton. The other one came fourth red, that of Charles Leclerc. With an incredible GP like this, let's find out together the top ten report cards of the fifteenth round of the season.
GP Singapore, the report cards: the podium
Carlos Sainz
Monster weekend from the Spaniard. By now the feeling with the SF-23 is more than special. Too bad for the missed Glan Slam, with the fastest lap set by Hamilton. There's no point in adding anything else. He brought her home in a unique way, managing her like a madman, or like a genius, depending on your point of view. Vote 10.
Lando Norris
Wonderfully Lando. A podium which is worth a lot to him, considering that in the race his McLaren was behind both Ferrari and Mercedes. Applause also goes to the team who, every time they mount new updates on the MCL60, don't miss a single one. Rating 9.5.
Lewis Hamilton
He was always behind his teammate, who eventually hit the wall late on. Despite everything, very solid performance and podium taken home. Rating 8.
Off the podium
Charles Leclerc
Very unlucky at the first - and ultimately only - safety car of the race. He loses time in the pits because he is hindered by Hamilton, allowing Russell and Norris to overtake him, despite the excellent start at the beginning which earned him second place. Nothing to do at the end, when the difference in performance compared to Mercedes is really too much. Rating 8.
Max Verstappen
He couldn't do more than that. After having dominated since the start of the season, this weekend wasn't his. In fact, given how qualifying was going, fifth place is more than good. Rating 7.5.
Pierre Gasly
He is the one who brought the Alpine brand to the top, following the unfortunate retirement of his teammate, who was having an incredible race. Comeback accomplished and points zone centered. Rating 7.
Oscar piastri
Without the updates and with a bit of bad luck yesterday. He had just come back from a very difficult weekend. In the race, however, he earned the points zone after starting in seventeenth position. Rating 8.
Sergio Perez
It was an enormously difficult weekend at Red Bull. The points zone, however, can be considered a result, even if there were so many errors and contacts. The Mexican, in fact, is still under investigation for contact with Albon. Rating 5.
Liam Lawson.
There's nothing to say. Good, good, good. Incredible performance and first points of the season taken home. And who knows, he might actually take the place of some other driver on the grid. Rating 9.
Kevin Magnussen
The exceptional qualification was about to be compromised. Despite the difficulties experienced on the VF-23, he closed the top ten with a point that Haas, after that spectacular Saturday, could not fail to take home. Rating 6.5.
