It's a somewhat anomalous starting grid for the British Grand Prix, especially if you look at the front row. The certainty, as always, is called Max Verstappen: he's always there in front of everyone. The surprise, in fact, comes from the person who will start alongside him, namely Lando Norris. The McLaren driver, after the great performance in the Austrian Grand Prix, brings home a very important front row, even if the true value of the new MCL60 - which is truly surprising with these updates - will have to be tested competing today. Behind him, further demonstrating the excellent work done in Woking, is Oscar Piastres.

The Australian will have to be very careful, as he will have to start alongside the Classic Ferrari for sale by Charles Leclerc. It certainly won't be easy for the McLaren driver, especially considering Charles' goals which, in yesterday's post-qualifying session, he explicitly confirmed of wanting to aspire to second place.
The top ten
Carlos will also try to attack Sainz, which starts from fifth position. Next to him is the first Mercedes, that is George's Russell, with Hamilton seventh alongside a wonderful Alexander Albon. For the Thai, at least for now, it is the weekend of the year: however, the race is to be confirmed, in which the objective will be to try to stay in the points. However, one should keep a particular eye on Mercedes' race pace which, if it didn't particularly shine in qualifying, in the race pace simulation on Friday showed that it can give Ferrari a lot of trouble. Much more, at least hypothetically, than the Aston Martin alone can provide ninth with Fernando Alonso, with Gasly's Alpine closing the top ten.

Those eliminated from Q2
Eleventh position for Nico Hulkenberg who tries to raise the mood of Haas, considering the car problems that stopped Magnussen in qualifying yesterday. Next to him was a disappointing Stroll, who missed out on Q3 in yesterday's qualifying, as well as Ocon who was thirteenth alongside Logan Sargeant. The American's performance is nothing other than a confirmation of the great step forward made with Williams.
Perez still at the back
Fifteenth instead was Sergio Perez, who thanks Valtteri Bottas' disqualification. Another failed result for the Mexican who in qualification he was eliminated in Q1. Who knows, however, another comeback might come, just like what happened in Austria. Behind him, Guanyu Zhou and De Vries, with Magnussen and Valtteri Bottas closing the starting grid.
British GP, watch the time!
We are now there: there is very little left until the traffic lights go out for the British Grand Prix which, be careful, will not start at 15.00 pm Italian time, but at 16.00.
