The checkered flag waves on qualifying in the Netherlands. Taking pole position in Zandvoort is Lando Norris, followed closely by Max Verstappen ed Oscar piastri. Fourth position for George Russell, then Sergio Perez e Charles Leclerc. Out in Q2 Lewis Hamilton e Carlos Sainz. Let's find out what happened in these official tests.
Q1 Dutch GP: everything smooth. Sauber, Ocon and Ricciardo out
Everything goes smoothly in Q1. Initial difficulties for Carlos Sainz, who practically didn't run given the transmission problems of his Ferrari. In the finale, however, he closes a nice lap with a super last sector. He won't end the session in the lead because he sets the best time Sergio Perez. Mexican is followed by George Russell and precisely from the Spanish of the Rossa. All the various drivers of the top teams pass comfortably. The two will not participate in Q2 Sauber, qualified in P18 (Valtteri Bottas) and P19 (Guanyu Zhou), ahead only of Logan sargeant. The American did not participate in the qualifications due to his accident in FP3. Also eliminated Esteban Ocon which defines the machine as a disaster e Daniel Ricciardo.
Q2 Dutch GP: twist! Hamilton and Sainz out
If in Q1 I had seen the various top teams having no problems in making the cut, in Q2 change everything. Take risks Max Verstappen, but then it qualifies as eighth. However, they fail to pass the cut Carlos Sainz e Lewis Hamilton. The first also with some justifications, given that the SF-24 doesn't seem to swallow Zandvoort and the problems suffered yesterday. The second, however, after winning the last grand prix in Belgium, qualifies only in P12. An error in the first sector will affect him for the entire lap, not allowing him to participate in Q3. The two Haas ins are also out P14 (Nico Hulkenberg) and in P15 (Kevin Magnussen), e Yuki Tsunoda in P13. Surprisingly in Q3 Pierre Gasly (first time as Alpine team principal for Oliver Oakes) and Alexander albon.
Q3 Dutch GP: what a shot Norris. Good Max second
The trend of Q3 can be seen from the first lap. Norris has hot feet today. But Max and Oscar are there, ready to take pole from him. So a tour is needed monstre by the Englishman to secure first position at the start tomorrow. 3 tenths to Verstappen and 4 to Piastri. Max also has a super lap, but the #4 McLaren is on another level. Positive signs from Russell (P4) e Perez (P5). Only sixth was the only Ferrari left, that of Charles Leclerc. They close the Top 10 Fernando Alonso in P7, Alexander albon in P8, Lance stroll in P9 and Pierre Gasly and P10.
The appointment is tomorrow at 15:00 for the Dutch Grand Prix.
