Lewis Hamilton wins the first sprint race of the season F1, held in China. 19 laps dominated by the British driver, who reached the finish line with almost 7 seconds of advantage over Oscar Piastri. Max Verstappen third, evident problems with the tires. Charles Leclerc fifth, missed the opportunity. Antonelli instead once again in the points.
chronicle
The first positions were frozen at the start, with Lewis Hamilton doing well to hold on to the first position he had conquered in qualification covering the inside for Verstappen. Leclerc tries to threaten Piastri, but at the end of the first lap he is surprised and is overtaken by Russell. A disastrous start for Norris, who falls to ninth place behind Tsunoda, Antonelli and Stroll, more careful to exploit the McLaren driver's mistakes.

The first third of the race ends with a reduction in the gaps between the drivers who are fighting for the podium positions. The Dutchman, however, pays for the attempts to attack and loses ground on the leader lap after lap, allowing Piastri to get closer. The tyre degradation is visible from halfway through the race, to the point that the Australian strikes the blow on lap 15 and overtakes Verstappen without too much difficulty. The fight between the two, however, allows Hamilton to further extend his lead until the end of the race, winning thanks to masterful tyre management.
That the Ferraris were the fastest on the track in the final phase is also evident from Leclerc's change of pace, who gets close to Russell but is unable to take his position. It should be noted that on the last lap the two arrived close to Max, but have no chance of stealing the podium from him.
Behind them the positions have not changed. Tsunoda is sixth, with Antonelli scoring points for the second consecutive race, leading Lando who manages to gain a position, enough to score a point in this sprint race.
Exciting battles outside the points zone, with the rookies protagonists of overtaking and contacts. Worth noting is the comeback of Liam Lawson, who arrived fourteenth with the risk of a penalty for the duel with Jack Doohan, who arrived last.
