He concludes the Asian weekend in third position Lewis Hamilton. The Briton from Mercedes took advantage of the German team's strategy which brought him back down in the final laps. With the retirement of his compatriot and teammate George Russell, he also grabbed the podium.
Lewis' words after the race
Post-race, Lewis offered congratulations to Carlos Sainz e Lando Norris and he made it known what his ideas on this race were diverse from the reality of the facts: “Congratulations to Carlos and Lando, they did a great job today and their strategy worked. We had a different weekend. We also brought different tire options to the race today. In my opinion this was a two-stop race but it must be said that the others did a fantastic job today. It was a shame what happened in the first corners, but I kept my head down and kept pushing."
The question about Russell could not be missing, in which the Briton commented on the incident as a great bad luck: “George? Big bad luck. We were pushing hard and our tires were overheated. In the end, however, it was a good race."
The last question asked of the seven-time world champion concerned his opinion on the race. His opinion is that all grand prix should be like that of Singapore"Tough race? Yes I like it. It must always be like this."
The next appointment, a Suzuka, will be fundamental for Mercedes. The Japanese circuit will help the multiple world champion team to understand where is it in the challenge with Ferrari. The gaze, obviously, is no longer at Constructors' World Championship of this year, but to that 2024, where even the German team, like the Red and McLaren, will want to oust the Red Bull.
