As usual, at the beginning of his interview, Lewis immediately wanted to thank the fans rushed to Silverstone. His usual “Best fans here” was the central point of this interview, as well as obviously complimenting an amazing one McLaren: “The crowd here is fantastic, it's the best crowd all year. Continuing the interview, the Briton focused on the pace demonstrated by his W14. As explained, in the first laps he wasn't the best ever, but he gradually improved. He then concluded with a reference to what Lando demonstrated: “The start wasn't ideal for me, but then with the medium tires I came out on top. This is positive as a team: we are not far away, we have to push to catch those in front of us. Battle with Norris? In turn 13-14 I got there, but he ran away.
