Lewis Hamilton he is certain of it: in future of Max Verstappen there may be Mercedes. The seven-time world champion, who is preparing to say goodbye to the Brackley team at the end of the season, spoke thus about the possibility that Verstappen could sign for Mercedes, considering the different discontent (based on what filters) from the Dutchman on the situation being experienced at Red Bull. “I am already sure – explains Hamilton – that Max Verstappen is on the Mercedes list. I can also say, however, that at the moment his mind is on the present and no further, also because I don't understand why he should leave such a beautiful car. The next six months they will be fundamental, but at the moment I have no other scoops to report".
Mercedes, Hamilton speaks: does the future have Verstappen?
The future may be Mercedes, but Verstappen's present continues to beckon RedBull. The Dutchman, in fact, is not expressing himself at the moment and is not making any statements. He knows the strength of his RB20 and does not seem (at least at the moment) willing to change, as explained by Hamilton himself: "Currently his head is on the present and no further, also because I don't understand why he would leave such a beautiful car".

Nothing is decided yet
The possibility of seeing Verstappen in Mercedes in the future excites the experts quite a bit. The words of Jos Verstappen, Max's father, against Horner last week made it clear the climate currently prevailing in Red Bull. Although we only witnessed the first race of the year, the track seems to speak clearly: the RB20 goes, pushes hard and the Verstappen's feeling is excellent. To leave hope about Max's possible farewell, however, beyond that at the meeting between Jos and Wolff, it is the same Mercedes team principal who with a "never say never” and, ahead of this weekend's Saudi Arabian GP, with a “everything is possible”, continues to leave the door open on a possible landing of the three-time world champion in Brackley. The situation is evolving and all that remains is to wait. And who knows, as Hamilton admitted, the next six months may not be truly decisive.
