Although Formula 1 continues to have numerous requests to host Grands Prix – just consider Madrid which is serious about joining in a few years – there are some leads that have managed to find very long-lasting deals with Liberty Media. This is the case of Australia, Austria and now also of Hungary.
Hungarian GP, renewal until 2032 arrives
On the occasion of the Hungarian Grand Prix scheduled for this weekend, with qualifying starting at 16.00 pm, Formula 1 has in fact announced that the Hungaroring will remain on the calendar until 2032. An announcement that further certifies Hungary's desire to remain in Formula 1 and not return to the famous rotation of GPs in Europe that Stefano Domenicali requested.

Domenicali: “Happy with the extension with the Hungaroring”
Following the announcement, there was no shortage of passwords de CEO of F1 Stefano Sundays"I am very pleased to be able to announce the contract extension for the Hungarian GP, adding another five years to the contract initially signed while we are right on track for a very important weekend here at the Hungaroring. We are talking about a truly special circuit near the incredible city of Budapest that all our drivers and fans are looking forward to on the calendar. Seeing the efforts made by the promoters in Hungary and the development that has facilitated and increased the fans' experience is another important step for us. It's something we want to see at all our events and we hope to continue to improve and make our races better and better."
Gyulay: “We are super proud, but it doesn't end here”
Great joy also expressed by Zsolt Gyulay, CEO and President of the Hungaroring: "We are so proud and honored to have found the agreement to extend our contact. Given the incredible growth of the world of Formula 1, which today sees as many competitors as never before to be present on the calendar, the agreement reached today marks a very important milestone for us. Our upgrades to our famous circuit – such as the renovation of the main paddock, main grandstand and spectator areas – will be completed by 2026."
"It will be a great satisfaction to be able to host teams and fans, who have always been our priority, in a world-class venue that will reflect the high standards expected of an F1 race weekend. We began this significant work nearly eight years ago, and today's announcement represents the culmination of our collective efforts. I would therefore like to thank everyone involved in getting us to this point today and look forward to many more years of F1 racing at the Hungaroring.”
