After the weekend in Austin for the United States GP, Charles Leclerc who achieved another important victory, followed by his teammate Carlos Sainz, returns to talk about the winning strategy. Starting fourth and fifth, the two Ferrari drivers managed to finish the race in first and second position. But in addition to the unquestionable skill of the drivers, what made the difference was also a strategy worthy of the victory achieved. The credit goes to Ravin Jain.
Ravin Jain Strategist of the Year

Ravin Jain is the Ferrari team's chief strategy officer who, after the victory, climbed onto the podium together with the two drivers to collect the prize for the 2024 United States GP. He was certainly one of the main reasons why, on Sunday, we were able to enjoy a wonderful one-two.
The undercut by Carlos Sainz It was the result of his strategic thinking that allowed the Madrilenian to come out ahead of Max Verstappen in the climb to second place. The English engineer with Indian origins took over from Rueda at the beginning of the year.
For this reason, the pilots have spent great passwords on the strategic head at the Rossa wall.
Charles Leclerc on Ravin Jain
"It was incredible, I really have a lot of confidence in Ravin. He did an excellent job and he's also quite young for a position like that. But he's always very, very calm and that's really necessary to do that kind of job," commented the Monegasque pilot during the post-match press conference.
"He always manages emotions very well, which was perhaps one of our weak points in the past when it came to strategies. With Ravin, a lot has changed and I think we have a very strong track team at the moment."
Carlos Sainz's words after the race
Carlos Sainz he joined his teammate, with whom he shared another one-two, for the important performances of the engineer. It is a piece in which the red, in recent years, had lost its substance that is slowly finding again.
"I think the credit for the progress made by the Ferrari strategy team over the last two years goes to Ravin. There has been a lot of work behind the scenes and obviously Jain has played a key role. Then, as I have said many times, having a good car on race day always helps to make the strategy work and I feel like this year we have a very strong car on Sunday. The best example is this weekend, where I had a car that allowed me to be the first to stop and to extend the life of the Hard tyre without degrading more than the others."
The Madrid native concluded: “It’s something that has put me in difficulty in the past, especially last year. In Singapore I remember pitting on lap 14 of a 60-lap race and still making it to the end. With any other previous car, that wouldn’t have been possible. So, making bold strategic moves on race day wouldn’t have been easy and we would have looked crazier for doing so. This year, however, we have a car that wears the tyres less and that makes us more competitive in the race, which means we have more flexibility and better opportunities to play with the strategy.”
