After the trip to Canada, Formula 1 returns to Europe for a triptych that includes Spain, Austria and Great Britain. Three very indicative stages to try, in the case of McLaren and Ferrari, to reopen the World Championship, and in the case of Red Bull to regain the performances shown in the first rounds of the season. We see therefore the Spanish GP weekend times.
The last few weekends have been quite close, both due to the particular nature of the circuits on which we raced, and because with the updates the values have changed, to the point of reaching an almost zero gap. 4 teams arrive in Spain, with many expectations. The Barcelona stage of those held so far is the most indicative given the different type of curves that the Montmelò Circuit presents. For the occasion we try to arrive as prepared as possible, even better if with some updates that you can test. Ferrari had foreseen the next step at Silverstone, but the debacle in Canada called the team to do further work to try to anticipate the news. The hope is to be able to solve some problems that afflict the SF-24 and which make it, at the moment, the third best car on the grid.
Of the three, Red Bull is certainly the one that will have to demonstrate the most over the weekend in Spain. In fact, if in Monaco and Canada the difficulties could have made sense, given the particular nature of the circuit and the presence of the killer curbs in Barcelona, going into trouble would mean having to start all over again. This is partly what opposing teams hoping to be able to fight for a world title hope for. In particular, McLaren, thanks to the 88 points scored in the past three races with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
