The Singapore Grand Prix promises to be full of emotions after some qualifications eventful and full of twists and turns. Lando Norris took pole position, giving McLaren a precious opportunity to start on the front row. Max Verstappen will start alongside him, who despite the initial difficulties of the weekend managed to climb up to second place. Behind them, Mercedes showed excellent form, placing Lewis Hamilton and George Russell in third and fourth positions respectively. Ferrari, instead, had a nightmare Saturday: Carlos Sainz crashed into the wall during the first attempt in Q3, while Charles Leclerc, in addition to having problems getting his tires up to temperature, saw his best lap cancelled for violating track limits, relegating him to ninth position. Nico Hulkenberg's performance with Haas and Yuki Tsunoda were surprising, both of whom will start ahead of the Ferraris. Finally, Sergio Perez's elimination in Q2 was sensational, and he will start thirteenth. Now let's see the final starting grid for the Singapore GP.
Singapore GP Top 10
Lando Norris will start in pole position, with an excellent performance that gave McLaren the first spot on the grid. Alongside him, Max Verstappen will try to make the most of second place to put pressure on Norris right from the start. In third and fourth position we find the two Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who will be able to attempt an attack in the early stages of the race.
Oscar Piastri will start from fifth position, surprisingly followed by Nico Hulkenberg, who managed to bring his Haas to sixth place. Fernando Alonso, in seventh position, will start with recovery ambitions. Excellent result also for Yuki Tsunoda, eighth. The top 10 is closed by Ferrari, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz who will start ninth and tenth respectively, after a disastrous qualifying session for the Maranello team.
The rest of the Singapore GP grid
Just outside the top 10 are Alexander Albon and Franco Colapinto, who will start eleventh and twelfth with their Williams, showing good pace on such a complex track. Sergio Perez, after a disappointing qualifying that saw him eliminated in Q2, will start from thirteenth position, with the hope of moving up the standings during the race. Kevin Magnussen will start alongside him for Haas, in fourteenth position.
Esteban Ocon and Daniel Ricciardo occupy the fifteenth and sixteenth positions respectively. While Lance Stroll, seventeenth, was unable to find the right rhythm with his Aston Martin. At the back of the grid, Pierre Gasly will start eighteenth, followed by Sauber drivers Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou, who close the standings in nineteenth and twentieth positions.
With such a diverse grid and numerous drivers ready to surprise, the Singapore GP promises to be full of twists and turns, on a circuit that does not forgive mistakes.
