Archived the weekend in Austria it's time to head to the final stage of this hat-trick: Silverstone. Let's see the schedules for the Silverstone GP weekend, in which the traditional format returns with three free practice sessions followed by qualifying and the race.
McLaren with the poisonous tooth after Austria
In Austria the fight between McLaren and Red Bull has become more physical, bringing back memories of the old clashes between Hamilton and Verstappen in 2021. Norris and Verstappen, after chasing each other for the entire weekend, gave life to an exciting duel which ended in a daring way with a contact that caused a puncture for both. If Verstappen managed to return to the pits and restart, finishing in fifth position, complete with a 10-second penalty for Lando, things went decidedly worse. The Englishman had to withdraw, losing very precious points from a world championship perspective. The disappointment is great, both on the McLaren side who could have aspired to a victory, and on the Red Bull side who are in great difficulty in the race. Max's errors are the result of the team's errors, of the RB20's performances.
McLaren therefore arrives at Silverstone, home race for both the team and Norris with a bad tooth but with all it takes to win.

Mercedes in an excellent moment, Ferrari in trouble
In Austria George Russell led Mercedes to their first victory of the season, the second since the return of ground effect single-seaters. Despite still being far from Red Bull and McLaren, Mercedes is still there, increasingly close to the best. The three podiums in a row prove it. Different story for Ferrari, in great difficulty after the introduction of the updates planned for Silverstone, brought forward to the Spanish GP. Carlos Sainz's podium compensates for Charles Leclerc's eleventh place but the Red team is still far from ideal performances. The traditional format will return to Silverstone and this could help the team understand the weekend better.
