The McLarens are the protagonists of the FP2 of the Silverstone GP. Lando Norris in fact it tears the best location ahead of his teammate Piastres. The innovations brought this weekend are working very well at the moment. For the Briton, the GP in England will be an opportunity for redemption after what happened with Verstappen in Austria, without forgetting that Silverstone is also his home race. At the moment, the signs to do well are certainly there. Bedroominstead, surprisingly Nico Hulkenberg which takes full advantage of all the technical innovations mounted and brought by Haas to the British track. The German closes behind Sergio Perez through the use of the new aerodynamic configuration, while the companion Magnussen is in last position.
Ferrari, still many question marks
Le Ferrari they conclude in fifth and eighth position respectively with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Various bouncing sensations experienced by the Monegasque. The two pilots carried out comparative tests with the different packages. It will be very important during the evening to understand which package will ultimately prove to be better of the other, in view of tomorrow's qualifying and the race scheduled for Sunday. The Dutchman seems to be hiding at the moment and, despite the unsatisfactory seventh place, he cannot help but be placed among the favorites for the weekend, despite the excellent performance shown by McLaren.
Who doesn't convince
Closing out the top ten is Aston Martin Stroll who, like his teammate, absolutely needs to get back to scoring points, and to George Russell tenth. Only fourteenth and fifteenth two o'clock Alpine not particularly bright at the moment. Sixteenth, however, tsunoda but in front of Ricciardo nineteenth.
FP2 concluded at Silverstone, qualifying tomorrow before Sunday's GP
This concludes the FP2 of the Silverstone GP. McLaren flies and does so with Norris, but Piastri follows immediately behind. Verstappen remains Verstappen and tomorrow he will be in full battle for pole, while in Ferrari there are still many question marks that they hope to resolve by the start of the FP3 on Saturday morning. All, obviously, with the aim of performing in the qualification scheduled for tomorrow at 16.00.
