After a long summer break, Formula 1 finally returns to action with the Dutch Grand Prix, which will be held on the historic Zandvoort circuit. This event is always highly anticipated, especially by the fans of the three-time world champion Max Verstappen, who on this occasion will race in front of his home crowd, the now famous “Orange Army”. With the championship entering its final phase, the weekend promises to be exciting, with many teams ready to give their all to improve their positions in the standings. Let's see all the schedules for the Dutch GP weekend: the key event, the race, is scheduled for Sunday 25 August, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sport F1 and NOW, with a delayed broadcast on TV8.
Where we left off: Mercedes wins in Belgium, Verstappen and McLaren fight for the title
The 2024 championship has so far seen heated competition at the top, with Max Verstappen looking to return to winning ways after a period of failures that has lasted since the Spanish Grand Prix. The Dutch rider, who is celebrating his 200th GP in Zandvoort, will find himself facing a particularly tough challenge. La Red Bull, in fact, seems to have lost some of its luster, while McLaren, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, is pushing hard for the constructors' title. The British team, despite the difficulties in realizing the results, has shown a clear improvement and could represent a real threat to Verstappen also in his home GP.
Even Mercedes and Ferrari will not stand by and watch. The Brackley team, after a controversial double in Belgium, with Hamilton's victory and Russell's disqualification, is looking for confirmation and a revenge in Holland. Ferrari, for its part, wants to continue in the wake of the progress shown at Spa-Francorchamps, where Charles Leclerc managed to achieve an unexpected podium. However, the Zandvoort circuit, with its tight corners and narrow track, will not be easy terrain for anyone.

Dutch GP weekend schedule: an action-packed programme
The race weekend will begin on Friday 23 August with the first two free practice sessions. FP1 will take place at 12pm, followed by FP30 at 2pm. Saturday 16 August will open with the third free practice session at 00am, while qualifying, which is fundamental on a circuit where overtaking is difficult, will begin at 24pm. We just have to wait and see if Max Verstappen will be able to regain the top step of the podium right in front of his fans, or if it will be McLaren, Mercedes or Ferrari that surprise everyone.
