Charles Leclerc has always tried to bring home one victory among the streets of Munich on which he grew up. He didn't succeed despite starting from Pole twice, but today, on the third attempt, everything finally made sense. The circle has finally closed, allowing Charles Leclerc to take home victory at the Monaco GP. Moved, happy, the Monegasque talks about the emotions he felt during this weekend in the post-race interviews of the Monaco GP. A weekend on the edge of risk but masterfully managed by Ferrari and Charles, who defended themselves not from Red Bull but from the two McLarens. A rivalry Amarcord, the one between Ferrari and McLaren that we hadn't seen for a long time.
The first at home, the emotion of Charles Leclerc
The Grand Prix may have been boring for many, especially for Verstappen who was forced to stay behind Russell for the entire race, but today it's a big party in Monaco. Charles Leclerc finally found victory in the Monaco GP, number 6 in career. The first since Austria 2022. And what better opportunity to return to victory than at your home Grand Prix? In Monaco Leclerc had not even managed to conquer the podium, despite starting from Pole. Doing it with a victory is even more special, an indescribable emotion. Coming from great tire management, also considering the unpredictability of the Monaco GP, with contacts and unforeseen events around the corner.

"There are no words to explain how I feel – says a visibly moved Charles Leclerc after the victory in the Monaco GP. It's such a difficult race, the fact that I started in Pole Position twice without even finishing on the podium in short, it proves it makes this victory even more beautiful. It means so much to me, it's the race that made me dream of becoming a Formula 1 driver one day. On an emotional level it was difficult, with 15 laps to go you just hope that nothing happens. The emotions were already coming though, I was thinking about my dad much more than I was thinking about driving. He gave everything for me to be here, it was a dream of ours so it's incredible."
Leclerc satisfied: “The car was perfect”
“In the race we knew we had a lot of margin but we still had to do 77 laps with the same set of tyres, so it was tough, but we managed as best we could. In the last laps I was able to push a little more, the car was fantastic. I have to thank the team because they have done an exceptional job in the last few months giving me the opportunity to win the race.”
