Verstappen remains unbeatable, ahead of Leclerc. Sainz finishes the Miami GP Sprint Race in fifth place, behind Daniel Ricciardo, author of an excellent performance this weekend.
Formula 1 made its debut in America with the first round of the championship, which hosted the second Sprint Race in the Miami GP. Max Verstappen won his second Sprint of the season after also taking pole position. In second place was Leclerc, who made up for a weekend that had started off on an uphill slope due to a mistake made during FP1. The podium of the Sprint Race of the Miami GP was completed by the Mexican Sergio Pérez, followed by Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian placed fourth, showing excellent form in the early stages of this weekend.
Departure and immediately Safety Car
The start of the Miami GP Sprint Race was marked by an intervention by the Safety Car shortly after the start. A contact between Alonso, Stroll and Norris forced the Briton to retire together with Lance Stroll's car number 18. Furthermore, Lando Norris was investigated by the stewards for crossing the track on foot after the accident, creating a dangerous situation according to the FIA. An episode similar to what happened in 2023 when Hamilton carried out a similar action in Qatar.

Leclerc and Sainz, second and fifth
Both Ferraris maintained their starting positions, with Leclerc second and Sainz fifth. However, the pace of the two drivers was not enough to beat the Red Bulls. The Monegasque driver spent much of the race two seconds behind the leader, Max Verstappen. Carlos Sainz got stuck in the DRS zone of Daniel Ricciardo's VCARB, unable to overtake him. The qualifying positions of both Ferrari drivers will be crucial to maximizing the result in the race on Sunday.
Ricciardo has had a perfect weekend so far, showing a highly anticipated performance, especially after the rumors regarding an alleged ultimatum from Red Bull, which seemed to put the “Honey Badger” under pressure, putting his future in F1 at risk.
Hamilton-Magnussen duel
Mercedes started the weekend at the bottom of the grid. Hamilton managed to climb from twelfth to eighth place, but was subjected to incorrect handling by Kevin Magnussen, who received a 10-second penalty for crossing the track. However, the Briton was stripped of eighth place due to an investigation for speeding in the pit lane. Position which therefore went to Yuki Tsunoda, for a double points placement of the VISA Cash App RB.
