Qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix brought a mix of spectacle and surprises, with the glamour of the gambling city providing the backdrop. Mercedes took center stage thanks to George Russell, that he took a phenomenal pole position. Behind him, a Ferrari in great shape with Carlos Sainz in second position, ready to aim for victory over the long distance. But the American weekend has not been without difficulties, especially for Red Bull and McLaren, who start further back than expected. Let's see the starting grid of the Las Vegas GP!
Russell on pole, Ferrari on the shields
George Russell confirmed his unbeatable form in qualifying, dominating Q3 with a textbook lap. Next to him, Carlos Sainz, who demonstrated Ferrari's competitiveness on this circuit. Completing the virtual podium was a surprising Pierre Gasly, who made the most of the potential of his single-seater with the Alpine. Immediately behind, Charles Leclerc kept Ferrari's hopes alive with a solid fourth place, while Max Verstappen, only fifth, might have to postpone his assault on the world title. McLaren was also struggling, with Lando Norris sixth and Oscar Piastri eighth, far from the results expected after their recent performances.

Incidents and surprises in the rear
The session was not without its twists and turns: Franco Colapinto, protagonist of a spectacular accident in Q2, finished in 14th place, but will start from the Pit Lane given the work to get the car back on track. Valtteri Bottas, penalised five places for changing his battery, will start last. Also bad was Sergio Perez, eliminated in Q1, and the Aston Martins, with Alonso and Stroll relegated to the back. Alex Albon's Williams, in 18th place, which becomes 17th with the climb of Colapinto completes a less than brilliant picture for the mid and back of the grid teams.
