The have just concluded qualifications of the Las Vegas GP. In its second year of existence, the GP sees unexpected top three positions. George Russell is the poleman, Carlos Sainz followed by the British and, finally, a surprising Pierre Gasly closes the provisional podium.
Carlos Sainz, is it possible to win in Las Vegas?
Carlos Sainz, in his last Grand Prix with Ferrari, has chosen to conclude with excellent results. Coming off last year's penalty due to the manhole cover, the Madrid native has all the cards on the table to take the deserved redemption.
In fact, it starts from second place, in the front row, with Pierre Gasly behind him. The red teammate, Lelcerc, is fourth. Two positions that, seeing the laps of Q3 could have been better, but which give hope for the constructors world championship if we count the positions of rivals McLaren and Red Bull.
The words of the Madrilenian

After the session Carlos Sainz commented on his qualifying and what needs to be done ahead of tomorrow's Las Vegas GP race.
"This qualifying was very complicated, we are closer than I expected. I thought I had the pole, but then George [Russell, ed.] arrived."
"We start from a good position tomorrow, last year too but then I was penalized. In the race pace there is confidence, tomorrow we can fight for the first three positions like today, the goal will be to win with a different strategy than today."
"Mercedes is better than us [Ferrari, ed.] at warming up the tyres. In the sector they were flying, but tomorrow we start from 0 and we'll see how the car behaves with full fuel. As for the constructors, as much as it suits McLaren to win, just the positions in front are not enough."
