The Grand Prix in Italy, ad Imola, scheduled for the week following the break for F1, could reveal some very interesting ideas for the rest of the season. The GP in Imola is an important stage, especially because the fight begins to come to life with the arrival of the updates. Up to this moment, the Red Bull has proven itself once again the strongest team. But the McLaren, after the great package of updates brought to Miami, showed what the team from Milton Keynes seems to be more attackable compared to 2023.
Updates, Red Bull will respond to Ferrari at the Imola GP
The only car to be the same from the first race (except for the various wing specifications brought over the various weekends) is the Classic Ferrari for sale. The Maranello team could have anticipated the arrival of the updates already in America. But being there Sprint Race and, therefore, a single testing session, in Modena it was decided to do not risk. Everything will be fitted to both cars on home soil. According to rumours, with these improvements the Red team should be able to compete stably with McLaren and, if what we saw in Miami were to repeat itself, Red Bull.

The latter however, despite having also brought something to Suzuka, is ready to modify some points of the RB20. It is not yet known what we will be working on, but in general we are talking about minor upgrades. These tweaks will probably serve to improve the adhesion problems encountered by both cars in Florida. It's obviously a strange year for Red Bull, because the Austrian team didn't expect to be so close to the others. And the updates scheduled for Imola are a sign. In Milton Keynes they know that they will have to work tirelessly to re-establish the gap between themselves and the others. Because, even looking at the ranking, the first pursuer (Charles Leclerc) is located just 5 points from Sergio Perez. And in the constructors' one the Rossa is at 52 points from Red Bull.
