Third place at dates of the Imola GP for Charles Leclerc with her Ferrari. The Red team returns to the podium in Imola after a very good race by the Monegasque. The updates seem to have worked correctly, bringing the Italian team back very close to McLaren and Red Bull.
Leclerc's immediate words: "At least we are on the podium, which is a unique emotion"
In the post-race interview, #16 explained how he obviously cannot be satisfied with a third place: “The good thing is that we at least reached the podium. I'm happy if I win, but today we didn't. In the first stint with the Media we were going strong. I tried to put some pressure on Lando, but later they were very strong. I think this was the best result we could have achieved. We missed something yesterday in qualifying, but throughout the weekend we suffered on the first straight and we will have to understand why. We are in a good position for the season. Getting on the podium here is fantastic, a unique emotion".
Appointment in Monaco, at his house
Continuing in his interview, Leclerc spoke about the next race weekend which will be held in Monaco. According to the home idol, it will be a special weekend like Imola. And immediately afterwards he conceded a few words of thanks to the fans: "Monaco will probably be something special, as well as this weekend. Thank you very much supporters, they really are the best. These thanks, however, are not just mine, but from the entire team. They always make a difference wherever we go. I promise you that we will do our best to recover what we lack to win again."
Word of hope and love from Leclerc towards all the fans. There is only one objective: return to win.
