Sergio Perez, driver number 11 for Red Bull, faced a somewhat subdued weekend. From the disappointment of not being able to give my best in GP of Imola, expresses an opinion on the Italian circuit Enzo and Dino Ferrari which hosted the race after it was canceled last year due to the flood that brought Emilia-Romagna to its knees.
His weekend was neither black nor white, but grey
If Max Verstappen, starting the weekend in a less than optimal way, managed to recover in view of the qualifications and later in the race, his teammate, Checo, was unable to do the same. Despite the experience that the Mexican driver can boast, he was unable to cope well with the Imola GP, so much so that he did not qualify for Q2.
Then starting from eleventh place, he was called upon to face a comeback and build the race, which however he was unable to do. All this while also losing second place in the drivers' championship, now occupied by the Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc.
Imola was not kind to Perez, making him cross the finish line only 8th, 54 seconds behind teammate Max, leader of the race and the championship.

Although next weekend in Monte Carlo is the right opportunity to demonstrate his potential, Perez cannot contain his words, criticizing the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit which hosts the Imola GP.

It would have been very difficult to do better than that anyway, but I think this track is not made for Formula 1. With the cars we have and after shortening the DRS zone, overtaking was very difficult and we needed a very significant delta in the tires.»
