The starting grid of the Japanese GP opens with Max Verstappen (and who if not him) in front of everyone. The Dutchman will start from the front row opened by him and his teammate Perez. The Mexican, in fact, performed excellently qualification in Japan and managed to gain an excellent second position. Behind them, there is Lando Norris who, as he said on Thursday, sees in his McLaren the possibility of being able to do well in Suzuka, thanks above all to the fast corners present. Closing the second row is the Ferrari by Carlos Sainz who hopes that the pace shown in FP3 can be confirmed as enough to try to attack and conquer the podium.
Leclerc in difficulty
Fifth position, however, for a super Fernando Alonso which takes Aston Martin to the top, even more so if we consider his teammate Stroll's Saturday to forget. Sixth place for Oscar Piastres, followed by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. For the Monegasque it was a qualifying to forget, but the feelings for the race seem to be quite positive. Closing the top ten are George Russell, for the first time of the season behind his teammate, and Yuki tsunoda.

Ricciardo still outside the top ten
Eleventh place for Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian needs points and to get his head back up again, following an absolutely difficult start to the season. Twelfth, however, Nico Hulkenberg, followed by Valtteri Bottas and Albon.
At the bottom of the starting grid of the Japanese GP
Fifteenth place for Esteban Or with with an Alpine that continues to have too many problems. In fact, his teammate is no exception gasly seventeenth, with Stroll which is positioned sandwiched between the two Frenchmen. Alongside gasly Kevin will be there Magnussen. Closing the starting grid of the Japanese GP are Logan Sergeant, who returns to the track after missing the Australian GP, and Guanyu Zhou.
