With the victory of Carlos Sainz In the Mexican Grand Prix, Ferrari achieved a goal that seemed very distant at the start of the season: five wins this season, equalling the number of wins of McLaren, currently leader of the Constructors' Championship. A result that not only confirms the validity of the SF-24, but also marks the second consecutive triumph for the Scuderia, demonstrating the constant growth of the entire team. This victory, however, takes on the Sainz an even deeper value. The season in which he demonstrated constant growth and top-level performances, paradoxically marks his farewell to Ferrari. Frederic Vasseur, however, did not want to focus on Sainz's imminent farewell, preferring to underline how much this season still has to offer, as demonstrated in Mexico. For the team principal, the important thing is to continue working race after race, keeping the focus on the present.
A season that defies expectations
The SF-24’s five wins this season are a milestone that fans have been waiting for for years, making Ferrari’s journey a constant demonstration of growth. Vasseur stressed how the team’s constant work has transformed an initially complicated car into a real contender at the top, capable of battling with McLaren and even causing problems for Red Bull. “It was a very positive weekend and we must be optimistic, maintaining the same concentration for the end of the season,” said Vasseur, making it clear how essential it is not to lose sight of the final objective.

GP Mexico, Vasseur: important give my best with Sainz in these last races
Vasseur then stressed the importance of living in the present, without being distracted by Sainz's farewell at the end of the season. “We don’t have to be sad. We have won two races in a row and we are doing a good job. We just have to keep pushing: there are still four races left with Carlos and we will both give our best. I don't want to think about the future,” Vasseur stated firmly.
Even if Carlos will continue elsewhere, both he and Charles can still accomplish one last important feat together: bringing the world championship back to Maranello. A dream that brings with it a great responsibility, felt by both the drivers and Vasseur who prefers to shift the attention towards those fighting for the drivers' title.
Thanks to recent victories and consistent results, the Scuderia has moved closer to current leader McLaren. “The Constructors’ World Championship? I hope the press will talk about the fight between Verstappen and Norris, without focusing on us. We have to keep working and think about it from race to race", commented Vasseur.
