In Zandvoort wind and rain welcomed the cars Formula 1 during today's fp3. THE banking ofatypical Dutch track have created quite a few problems for the pilots, with barrels and spins are the order of the day. In fact, there were many red flags during the session. The hour of testing sees the usual Max Verstappen in the lead, with Russell's Mercedes and Perez's Red Bull behind him.

Start with a bang in the Dutch fp3
The disastrous third and final free practice session opened with atrack excursion by world championship leader Max Verstappen. No consequences for the host, who only gave his fans a thrill. A matter of a few minutes and Kevin Magnusse is the one who really bangsn. Driver number 20 demonstrated that the track's ramps can become particularly hostile in the presence of rain. Immediately red flag ten minutes from the start. Kevin is fine, while the front left of the VF-23 was destroyed. Not an idyllic start for the Haas drivers, after that in yesterday's fp1 saw the other car, Hulkenberg's, hit the wall.
Liam Lawson makes his debut in place of Daniel Ricciardo ofAlpha Tauri. The Australian driver broke his wrist after the crash in yesterday's FP2. Lawson currently competes in the Super Formula Japanese, and it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the Formula 1 cars in such a complicated weekend.

Leclerc's flash and Zhou's red
Charles Leclerc he goes for his first fast lap attempt and print the first half immediately. The Monegasque wanted to exaggerate and ended up wide at the first corner. No consequences other than a temporary yellow flag. The Ferrari, after yesterday's disappointing day, try to relaunch your weekend with a different set-up. Yesterday the balancing would most likely not have guaranteed access to Q3. Today, the little horse seems not to be in the oblivion of Friday, but the final ranking does not encourage the fans. Technically speaking, the Scuderia has fitted a medium-high load rear wing, betting on better overtaking ability on the only straight of the track.
Lightning also for Guanyu Zhou, but negatively. The Chinese Alfa Romeo, already in doubt for 2024, he certainly doesn't make his situation easier by going into gravel and causing a red flag. The cars return to the track half an hour from the end, and Sainz immediately gives a long shot without consequences. Track conditions have improved slightly, with more riders now opting to switch from full wet to intermediate.

McLaren and Mercedes threaten Red Bull, Lawson swerves then starts again
The Englishman Lando Norris sends a clear message to the leading team of both world championships. Number four prints the first half with twenty minutes to go, demonstrating once again that the papaya machine can be fearsome in conditions like these. It is impossible to reduce the first time in yesterday's FP2 and today's performance to a mere flash in the pan. This is confirmed by the alternation of fast laps of the two drivers of the Woking team.
Well once again Williams, a serious threat to the mid-field in qualifying at 15pm today. Small thrill also for the Alpine Or with. The French he rested his nose against the barriers, and then return to the pits. Newcomer Liam Lawson was involved in a spin, causing a too sudden red flag, given the New Zealander's immediate return to the track. Leclerc also kisses the barriers at Turn 1 without consequences. A break that was anything but easy given the numerous excursions seen today. Mercedes also did well, who proved to be a match for McLaren in the flying lap.
The order of arrival of the fp3
There's always Max Verstappen ahead of everyone. The Dutchman puts him in the grip Russell with mate Perez in third position. Alonso, Hamilton e Albon they put themselves in front of Piastres. Well Bottas in eighth position in front of Ferrari's Leclerc. Norris e gasly precede Sainz on p12. Then tsunoda, Sergeant e Hulkenberg. Or with is sixteenth ahead of Stroll and the rookie Lawson.
