After a week's break, Formula 1 returns to the track for Hungarian GP. As always, FP1 represents the first opportunity to familiarize yourself with the track, in this case well known by all for its history and its use by the minor categories.
We don't know who will win, but it will certainly be a very hot weekend, with temperatures above 30% over the course of all three days. As for this first free practice session, the asphalt reaches 60 degrees.
FP1 Hungarian GP, Sainz ahead of everyone

Carlos Sainz closes FP1 in the lead, followed by Max Verstappen and his companion Charles Leclerc. Ferrari, which brings a new fund here in Hungary, will try to bounce back after some complicated races. If a good morning starts in the morning, the Cavallino can smile: no complaints from the two drivers. But the road is still long.
Fourth position for George Russell, while his teammate and recent winner of the Silverstone GP Lewis Hamilton he only finishes tenth. Sixth and seventh place for Lando's two McLarens Norris and Oscar Piastres, beaten by Guanyu's Sauber Zhou (fifth, as in qualifying here last year). For the papaya team, the goal this weekend is victory, which will hopefully come after months of races contested with the best package on the grid and months of missed first places.

They close the top 10 tsunoda, Stroll and the aforementioned Hamilton. Perez he finishes just behind, in 11th position. Like the two Ferrari drivers, the Mexican is another driver who needs to find his feet again after a solid start to the season but the last few races falling short of expectations, to say the least. And a seat that, despite the two-year contract renewal, always seems at risk.
Follow Ricciardo, Alonso, Albon, Bottas, Sergeant, gasly e Or with. The two Haas cars close the ranking Magnussen (who will leave the team at the end of the season) e Bearman (replacing Hulkenberg for this session, before joining the team full-time in 2025). Ferrari seems in much better shape than in recent weekends both in terms of flying lap and race pace (where tire management will be more important than ever). More streamlined setup or improved performance? We'll only find out with them FP2, scheduled at 17.
