On the eve of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, Frederic Vasseur, Ferrari team principal, expressed confidence and determination in an interview. After a period of ups and downs, culminating in two consecutive podiums in Belgium and in Netherlands, the Maranello Scuderia is preparing to take to the track in Monza with new updates for the SF-24, aiming to continue the positive trend and give the fans another exciting performance.
Monza Calling, back to racing in the temple of speed
Vasseur highlighted the uniqueness of Monza, a circuit that represents a challenge unlike any other track on the calendar. “Monza is a race in its own right in every aspect: the track is one of a kind, it has remained the only super fast one on the calendar, and this year it will at least partly have to be rediscovered given that it has been entirely resurfaced and also the curbs of some curves have been modified,” explained Vasseur. This makes the Italian Grand Prix a crucial event, in which Ferrari will be able to count on the warm support of the fans to try to obtain a prestigious result.
Ferrari, a growing path in the last few races
After a mixed start to the season, Ferrari seems to have found some consistency in their results in the last few races. The podium obtained in Belgium by Charles Leclerc and the solid performance in Holland, where the team showed a good race pace despite unpredictable weather conditions, gave new life to the team. In particular, at Zandvoort the SF-24 demonstrated greater competitiveness, benefiting from optimal strategy and tire management, elements which proved to be crucial for the final result.
This improvement was the result of intense work by the team, which sought to maximize the car's potential in every aspect. However, Vasseur is aware that the gap to the top teams still remains significant, and this is why in Monza the focus is on updates as the key to making further progress.

Vasseur confirms the updates on the SF-24 for Monza: a step forward to reduce the gap
The team principal confirmed that the SF-24 will be equipped with new updates specifically designed to face Monza, with the aim of reducing the gap from the top teams and progressing in terms of competitiveness. “We will introduce some updates to the SF-24 that we hope will take us another step forward in terms of competitiveness,” declared Vasseur, underlining how the team worked with great scrupulousness in view of this appointment.
Vasseur then did not hide the emotion of returning to Monza, remembering with enthusiasm his first Italian Grand Prix as a Ferrari driver. “I will always remember my first Italian Grand Prix as a Ferrari driver, the cry of joy on Saturday for Carlos' pole position and the celebration under the podium on Sunday,” he said, reiterating the importance of making the fans happy . “The objective, mine, the drivers' and the entire Scuderia's – both the team that goes to the track and the hundreds of people operating from Maranello – is to return to making the fans jump for joy."
With the upcoming updates, will Ferrari be able to confirm itself on its home circuit too? Just a few more days and we'll know.
