Everyone is wondering what the future of Carlos Sainz will be. His adventure in Ferrari it will close at the end of the season and there are several options on the counter. The Spaniard's name is in fact the first on many people's lists but for Sainz the time has come to decide. The latest rumors from the paddock speak of an imminent announcement, which could arrive as early as the next few weeks. The team in question, which would have closed an agreement with Carlos Sainz, would be Mercedes which will say goodbye to Lewis Hamilton at the end of the season.
Sainz's growth and achievement at Ferrari
The experience in Ferrari allowed him to take his personal revenge in Formula 1, finally achieving victory. From there he never stopped improving season after season. The farewell seems to be his best year in Red at the moment. In fact, out of three races held, Sainz achieved three podiums and one victory. The SF-24 immediately proved to be an excellent ally, and Ferrari is currently studying the package to understand how to extract its maximum potential before the updates arrive.
Sainz close to signing with Mercedes?
In this phase, which is still very delicate, Carlos Sainz must also find a secure base for 2025, evaluating the best option on paper. The names in question, considering the departure of Verstappen appears less and less likely, there are two: Audi and Mercedes. The first is a real lottery. Audi will arrive in 2026 with a new team and project. Mercedes on the other hand knows they are not the most attractive team at the moment but they need to find Lewis Hamilton's replacement.
According to the latest rumours, the Spaniard has reached an agreement with Mercedes who would like to announce everything in the coming weeks.
In fact, as Will Buxton reports, Toto Wolff himself had anticipated at the beginning of the week "that an important movement of a rider could arrive, with the signature likely to arrive as early as the next few weeks". According to Buxton, the driver identified by Mercedes would be Carlos Sainz.
At the moment they are just rumors so we will have to wait to find out if they contain any truth.
