La Classic Ferrari for sale, as reported by Rosario Giuliana up Formula1a.one, will not bring updates to reduce bouncing at Silverstone. This decision comes at a critical time for the Scuderia, which faces significant performance and stability issues with the SF-24.
Canada a negative crossroads for Ferrari
There comes a moment in the season when Ferrari takes a step back rather than evolving. It's been happening for years now and everyone is wondering why this trend characterizes the Red. After the Canadian blackout, the Spanish Grand Prix it became a negative turning point for Ferrari. Since then, the SF-24 has slipped to fourth place on average in the pecking order of the field, both in qualifying and in the race, due to a development that did not meet expectations. In Austria Ferrari found the podium again but thanks to the contact between Verstappen and Norris which put Lando out of the game and made Verstappen climb to fifth position.
At the Red Bull Ring, a track that should have rebalanced the forces between the teams, both SF-24s were put in crisis by the setup, and the weekend with the sprint race arrived at the least opportune moment for the Scuderia. Silverstone, in which the traditional format with three free practice sessions will return, therefore represents a important test bed to find the square lost by some races.
Side effects of updates
With the introduction of the second major package of updates in Barcelona, after the initial one in Imola, the SF-24 lost the balance and handling that had characterized it up to that point. As reported in the post-Spanish GP and highlighted by Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc and Fred Vasseur, the updates they actually increased the downforce, but they also moved the car out of the optimal operating window, triggering an unexpected bounce in fast corners. This issue, combined with a less than optimal initial set-up, amplified the performance deficit, highlighting the team's difficulties in extracting the most from the available package.

No updates at Silverstone, Ferrari works with the current package
At Silverstone, Ferrari will continue to work with the current package introduced in Barcelona to improve the understanding of the evolved SF-24. No significant updates are planned, and the focus will be on optimizing the mechanical set-up. Silverstone, with its high-speed corners and relatively smooth road surface, will provide a valuable data collection opportunity. The team hopes to mitigate bouncing by optimizing the set-up and taking advantage of the three free practice sessions to find a set-up that allows the drivers to make the most of the car. After Silverstone there will be a week's break before returning to the track for the Hungary-Belgium double which will take us towards the summer break.
