No he weekend that was expected at Ferrari in Barcelona. The update package was even anticipated (the programming predicted it at Silverstone) did not give the desired results. The fifth and sixth positions obtained respectively by Charles Leclerc e Carlos Sainz they don't live up to those early season results. The victory in Melbourne and Monaco together with the convincing performances by the Red team perhaps had deluded too much the fans' expectations.
Enrico Cardile's farewell is sensational: he will leave Ferrari for Aston Martin
A car with an excellent base, but one that needs an extra push to get to the level of “monsters” like Red Bull e McLaren. This something extra, however, cannot come from a tense situation like that of Maranello. In fact, the announcement was made a few hours ago an important farewell among the ranks of the Italian brand. As reported by Formula1a.one, Henry Cardile, technical director of Ferrari, accepted Aston Martin's offer. In the past few months there had been a important approach by Lawrence stroll, which ended with the winning proposal addressed to the Italian.

From top to top: Loic Serra will replace him
A life spent with the Emilian team. First with the GTs, then with the move to Formula 1. The first years as head of the aerodynamics department, then as the car's designer. A role then very delicate, and especially not easy to replace. But always according to the editorial staff of Formula1a.one, his worthy successor would have already been designated. Among the many grafts wanted and obtained by Frederic Vasseur he has been there since he was team principal of Ferrari Loic Serra.
The Mercedes school engineer had already been announced as Head of Chassis Performance Engineering last month. In that same press release, however, it was stated that Serra would coordinate other departments including “Track Engineering, Aero Development, Aero Operations and Vehicle Performance”. In “7beautiful”, i.e. the most important figures in management (on which Vasseur based himself upon his arrival for a winning project) nothing has changed. The head of aerodynamicists, for example, will remain Diego Tondi, that is, the person who is coordinating the engineers for the correct development of the SF-24.
