Since the arrival of Liberty Media and Stefano Domenicali, in Formula 1 quite a few things have changed. The objective, however, has always been one: to try to have more show, not the same as 2021 – because in some ways it will be impossible – but at least try to always have more drivers fighting for the title.
Show objective: Domenicali hopes for a fight for the title
The 2023 vintage is literally dominated by Max Verstappen. The Dutch driver never stops and has six consecutive victories - of the eight achieved after just ten races. Impressive numbers, which certainly don't match Stefano's plans Sundays. The CEO of F1 himself admitted it in an exclusive interview with Roberto Chinchero on Motorsport.com and declared: “Necessary premise: Max is fully deserving of the success he is achieving, we must take our hats off. Obviously I won't deny that I would like to see championships with a battle that ends right up until the last lap of the last race, as in 2021, but without the controversies of Abu Dhabi. At the same time, for the new fans we have acquired, it is important to have icons who become representative of this sport on an ongoing basis".

“I would like to propose a prize for those who reach the Grand Slam”
Despite Verstappen, it is a Formula 1 that continues to grow and has no intention of stopping. Over the years there have been various changes made to the premier class of motorsport, just think of the arrival of Sprint - with the format that was modified during this season. However, the news does not seem to be over. Domenicali, in fact, expressed his will: reward those who, at the end of a weekend in which Sprint is present, manage to obtain the Grand Slam, thus winning the two poles and the two races. "There is a proposal I would like to make, in line with the concept of the Grand Slam: to a rider – said the CEO – which was due at the weekend to make the two poles and the two races his own, he will have to be recognized for something more, which represents well the sporting achievement he achieved."

“Eleventh team? I'm finding it tough."
The great growth of Formula 1 has only continued to grow the requests of various car manufacturers who wish to enter the circus. We already know about Audi, which will enter in 2026, and attempts to Porsche then failed. The desire to Andretti, who admitted several times to having made the request and to be ready to enter as the eleventh team. On the subject, however, Domenicali seems to agree apply the handbrake again"There is an ongoing process by the FIA and they will share the contents soon. I have long maintained that the evaluation must be made starting from the fact that today we have ten teams that have great value. Net of potential exceptional cases of new teams capable of bringing great added value to Formula 1, I believe that the current platform made up of ten teams will also do well in the long term".
