In recent days, for the third and last time in 2024, the F1 Commission meeting. Points system unchanged, no extension beyond P10
The first point, also discussed among the teams in recent months, was that of lengthen the points area. To date, pilots are classified based on points from first to tenth position. The commission has decided that this situation will remain unchanged. The distribution will take place in the same way as it does today: 25 points for the first, 18 for the second and so on.
Maximum weight increased and Budget Cap topics discussed
Another very important topic discussed in this meeting was that of minimum weight of the pilots. To date, the person-seat combination had to reach at least 80 kg. From next season it will be raised to 82 kg. Therefore, the car (dry) will pass by 798 kg a 800 kg. This step forward would have been made for Don't penalize taller riders. Those who do not reach the threshold will have to add a ballast.
Let's move on to the question Budget Cap. It was decided to exclude the costs of Entertainment and those relating to leave di maternity o paternity.

9 days of testing for 2026. Special meeting called for regulations
The hottest point of the meeting is undoubtedly that of the vintage 2026. The choice that has been made is to have 9 days of testing to try out the new cars.
