Formula 1 doesn't stop. After racing on the Italian circuit of Imola, the queen category of motorsport remains in Europe for the next stage. A historic, iconic circuit that can only be hated or loved: we are in Principality for the weekend of the Monaco GP.
Monaco between luxury and history in Ayrton's memory
The Monte Carlo circuit is a non-permanent city track. It winds through the streets of the Principality, and its design has remained practically unchanged since 1950. Long 3337 meters, Presents 19 curves ed only one DRS zone, on the main straight.
This track has always exalted the pilot skill, and for this reason they won on this circuit many legends. The one who won the most races in Monaco was the one who was later nicknamed “the King of Monaco”. We are talking, of course, about Ayrton Senna. The late Brazilian leads both this ranking with 6 victories than that of pole position 5. Both the overall and official circuit records belong to Lewis Hamilton: the first in 1'10 "166 (2019), the second in 1'12 "909 (2021)
Extreme settings and little degradation. Watch out for the change
In the Principality, teams have always been forced to wear a new rear wing configuration. The amount of downforce needed on the streets of Monaco is so great that it leads the teams to use it an extreme setup. This is only used for this stage of the calendar.
The degradation should not be a problem, given the low speeds that occur during the 78s. What the teams will have to pay attention to will be the track disconnections. Driving around the streets where city traffic is concentrated, there are many imperfections also given by manholes. These are paid for just before the race weekend. The cars will then higher from the ground than usual.
Il cultural, will also be very stressed. With over 4000 changed throughout the race, it is the circuit that requires the most changes between one gear and another throughout the season.

Max to return to magic, Ferrari and McLaren marking
Making predictions in Monaco is never easy. The qualification here is fundamental given the very narrow track and the almost zero possibility of overtaking. This year on Saturday there was a domain of Verstappen, with 7 consecutive pole positions. If he secured first place for the race, his weekend would be good downhill. Behind the Dutchman, we saw a McLaren very fit, while instead the Classic Ferrari for sale seems to have to resolve something about the flying lap.
