The 2023 Formula 1 season is certainly not living up to expectations. On the eve of the race in Bahrain, expectations were really high: at home Ferrari the goal was to try to be up to the finish – considering last season – fighting with Verstappen, as well as for Mercedes, Without to forget Aston Martin, called to confirm what had been seen during the tests. All objectives, except for the one above Aston Martin, collapsed after a very short time. Already after the first race of the season, Russell said that in Red Bull they would have won them all until the end of the season. And for now, with a summer break just ended, the bet is still in play.
It's Formula-Verstappen
More than Red Bull, after the first twelve races of the season, the real dominator is Max Verstappen. The Dutchman is coming off eight consecutive victories and, with the Dutch GP just around the corner, he has no intention of stopping. The gap with his opponents is notable. THEThe Verstappen-RB19 combination also works too well and it is right to consider only the Dutchman, as his teammate Perez is coming off a season full of ups and downs.
Wolff confident: “Without Verstappen it would be an incredible season”
Looking at the races, and especially the stopwatch, one thing seems to be certain: without Verstappen, it would be an incredible season. Suffice it to say that on the track the famous "second force" varies from track to track. Mercedes team principal Toto also confirms a super year of F1 without the dominator Max Wolff who, when questioned on the matter, admitted: “Yup. I think we should just ignore Max, after all the second Red Bull (that of Perez, ed.) it proves it. It would be a fantastic season and we will have races with cars very close to each other. But you know, the clock never lies and there's only one guy in a car who is above everything else and we have to go get it. We have no other choice".

Will we have different music in 2024?
With the sole aim of trying to get him, as admitted by Wolff, there are already many top teams working on the 2024 car, in the hope of being able to catch up with the Dutchman who, race after race, is getting closer to becoming a three-time world champion.
