With the championship in its final stages and the titles still up for grabs, Ferrari has found new strength thanks to its recent run of successes. The last race in Mexico, culminating in a win for Carlos Sainz and a third place for Charles Leclerc, saw the Italian team overtake Red Bull in the Constructors' standings and reduce the gap to leaders McLaren to just 29 points. Now, with four GPs still to go, Ferrari has a concrete chance of bringing the title back to Maranello, a feat that has been missing since 2008. The growth of the team and the climate of cohesion between the two drivers were underlined by Sainz, who explained how he and Leclerc are facing this end of the season together: an alliance that goes beyond internal rivalry, and which could prove decisive in the pursuit of the title.
Sainz and Leclerc in the title race: “Cohesion is our strength”
The Spaniard explained how, at this stage, the harmony between him and Charles Leclerc is helping to strengthen Ferrari's ambitions: “I think we both think it is possible [to win the championship] and we talk about it more and more often,” Sainz explained. “We give each other strength, knowing that there is a chance. We say, 'Come on, go for it,' and that creates a positive environment. We have a good relationship and we know that we have a chance.”
Sainz also highlighted the importance of having two competitive drivers capable of always being present in the top positions, a significant advantage over their rivals: “One of the key elements will be consistency and having both drivers up front,” Sainz added. “We did a great job in Mexico in this regard, especially on a difficult track where qualifying was chaotic. We need to continue on this path and, as Charles said, not get too obsessed with the final goal.”

A common goal for the two drivers, with a Ferrari in good shape
Ferrari are in great form, with three wins in the last five racesThe Sainz-Leclerc alliance could make the difference against rivals McLaren and Red Bull, who are facing different difficulties: McLaren, in fact, has shown impressive speed, but often only one driver can compete at the top, while Red Bull depends almost exclusively on Verstappen, with Perez often far from the top positions.
Sainz, aware of this advantage, made it clear how important it is to maintain a high level of consistency to aim for the title. “It's not just up to us, McLaren is also very fast, so we'll have to do our best in every race,” he said. “But we are motivated and we will do our best until the end.”
An intense season finale
The season is coming to a close with a calendar that includes four decisive races, from Brazil to Abu Dhabi. Ferrari, with Sainz and Leclerc united by a common goal, is determined to seize every opportunity to grab a title that has been missing for years. Sainz will try to bring home another victory, as well as Leclerc. Both have the possibility to do it and this is Ferrari's strength at the moment. The two drivers, combined with the competitiveness of the SF-24, represent the extra weapon for Maranello in this race that could still reserve many surprises.
