Summer break is coming to an end, that means back to running. After this little "vacation" to free their minds and recharge their batteries, the pilots get ready to get back into the single-seaters to continue put on a show.
The point on the replaced components and penalties: many fewer than last year
With the return of the grand prix, all the problems related to racing also return preparazione of the latter. From the think about strategies pit stop tests passing through the penalty problem. According to the latest data released by FIA, however, this year there were much fewer penalties for changing components. This is thanks above all to the increase in possible usable parts, passed by 3 a 4 compared to the previous season. Just talking about last year, in Belgian GP 2022 we had seen many more changes on the cars, among which we well remember those of Leclerc e Max Verstappen.
And what is the situation among the pilots?
Both the teams and the drivers have strongly stated this: racing an entire calendar with just 4 components is practically impossible. That's why most of them already are on the threshold of penalisation, and from Monza other changes between the single-seaters cannot be ruled out. Let's do it in the meantime the point of the situation.
Between Hungarian GP and that of the Belgium, those who assembled other parts were mainly the Mercedes powered. In fact, Lewis Hamilton, Oscar piastri, the two Aston Martin and two o'clock Williams they replaced the entire engine block, consisting of internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H and MGU-K. Same move also made by Esteban Ocon e Kevin Magnussen. Replacement of the internal combustion engine only for Lando Norris. To the Zandvoort GP, the only ones to be penalized on the entire PU, excluding batteries and control units where all the pilots are already in the penalty area, I am Pierre Gasly and two o'clock Haas. Transmissions chapter: in the last two appointments we have witnessed the changes of Zhou, Magnussen, Albon e Norris, but above all of those of the two drivers of the Red Bull. The latter have now reached the limit before the penalty, as well as once again the two Haas. In the Temple of Speed, therefore, we should still be careful about what in jargon is the waltz of penalties, but they are expected many fewer replacements than those seen in previous years.
