La BBC he confirms, Haas has chosen Esteban Ocon to complete the 2025 line up: the announcement is expected close to the Hungarian GP, scheduled for this weekend. Ocon would go therefore to join Oliver Bearman, composing a line up that combines experience and youth.
We are now halfway through the championship, close to the summer break, a decisive period for the drivers' market. In fact, there are still many doubts about the destinations of most of the drivers on the grid. Carlos Sainz is still in charge. His immense choice is delaying the decision of many teams. But there are also other interesting names on the market and one of these is that of Esteban Ocon. The Frenchman, who will leave Alpine at the end of this season he had already been linked to Haas for some time. According to what was reported by Andrew Benson, a BBC journalist, Ocon would therefore have won the comparison with Kevin Magnussen.
The Dane, if the rumors were to find official confirmation, could definitively abandon Formula 1. In fact, the remaining options do not seem to favor Kevin who could also consider a change of category, between IndyCar and WEC.

Haas bets on Ocon
After weeks of negotiations Esteban Ocon and Haas have finally reached an agreement, the announcement would be imminent. Relations between Alpine and the 27-year-old Frenchman have deteriorated in recent months, thus pushing him to look for a valid alternative for his future. Having rejected the Mercedes hypothesis, Ocon received offers from Williams and Sauber. However, the most inviting choice would have been Haas with a multi-year contract that should be announced soon. The American team is growing and under the leadership of Ayao Komatsu continues to achieve excellent results.
