Aston Martin is looking to strengthen its technical team and has put Ferrari's Enrico Cardile in its sights. With the aim of improving its performance, the British team aims to integrate new key figures to compete at the highest levels.
For Aston Martin, Enrico Cardile, current head of the "Chassis and Aerodynamics" area at Ferrari, would represent a crucial figure in the program to consolidate its technical team. Cardile seems to arouse interest from Lawrence Stroll's team, which is also considering figures from Ferrari to enrich its ranks, according to rumours.
Like many other teams in this last period, certainly thanks to the good start of the season and the promising future prospects, Aston Martin has decided to look to Ferrari for figures who can complete a team aimed at short-medium term growth. The objective is to form a technical team capable of filling the shortcomings that currently prevent the team from reaching the top positions on the grid.
Enrico Cardile had a progressive growth at Ferrari, starting his experience in the Gran Turismo program and then moving on to the Maranello Sports Management program. His years of experience at Ferrari led him to his current role, head of technical management. A career that put him in the sights of other teams, especially after the good result of the SF-24 project, which brought Ferrari to the podium in all the GPs held so far, with the exception of Miami, with two victories for the drivers and a 1-2 in Australia which had not been seen since Bahrain 2022.

Andrian Newey, key figure in the puzzle
According to Roberto Chinchero, in Lawrence Stroll's investment program and in the arrival of Enrico Cardile, the key figure of Adrian Newey could also enter. The British engineer, great architect of Red Bull's success in recent years, would be looking for a team in which to take on a super consultant role, as it has already done in Milton Keynes in recent years.
The arrival of Adrian Newey in a technical role at Maranello could facilitate the exit of Cardile, who has been with Ferrari for 19 years, and his possible interest in finding a leading technical role in a team like Aston Martin.
With these strategic moves, Aston Martin underlines the ambition of the British team to fill its gaps and aim decisively at the top of the ranking.
