Following the great revolution that took place at Alpine, news is always around the corner. The French team has one big objective to replace the fired Otmar Szafnauer, or Matthias binotto. The former Ferrari team principal is in negotiations with the Enstone team and from France they are also quite convinced that already a September we could see the former Rossa engineer back in the Circus.
Binotto near Alpine
If this news were confirmed, a very long phase of recovery would begin immediately for Binotto reorganization, a bit like the one underway at the moment Ferrari with Vasseur. Based on what FormulaPassion tells us, the possibility cannot be ruled out that many Binotto loyalists – with his arrival at Alpine, and above all the internal changes at Ferrari – can choose to move to the French team. For Binotto, if he officially becomes team principal, it will certainly not be an easy adventure, considering both the sporting aspect - with Alpine sixth in the constructors' category - and the political one, with the case power unit.
Fraboni says goodbye to Ferrari for Alpine?
From what is filtering through, it seems that Binotto's idea is to bring with him into this new adventure the faithful he has had over the course of these long years in Maranello. One of the first names, told by FormulaPassion, is that of Luigi Fraboni, responsible for the track operations of the Scuderia di Maranello as regards the power units (Head of Power Unit Operations and Electronics). Fraboni, who joined Ferrari at a very young age, he is an old stalwart of Cavallino, as well as being one of Binotto's loyalists. Should an agreement be reached, there would be another loss at Ferrari which, we can confirm, will certainly not be the only one between now and the next few months.
