Following a rocket start, things have changed quite a bit. In home Aston Martin we reflect and analyze the first part of the season, which ended with many podiums - in the first races - and with little satisfaction in the last ones, particularly in the month of July. A collapse that also surprised the pilots quite a bit, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, who were unable to find the right feeling with the AMR23 from them updates which were mounted by the Canadian GP.
Alonso: “We are fighting with Mercedes, Ferrari and McLaren”
Following the summer break, Aston Martin wants to try to restart in the best possible way. The Silverstone team he has a third position in the constructors' championship to defend, especially considering Ferrari on his tail. Alonso he knows it and plans to start again in the best possible way:
“The first part of the season was, in many ways, a positive surprise. Seeing how competitive we were from the first race shows that we managed to make the most of the car package. In the last few races however we were not as competitive as we were initially, but it must also be said that we have always scored points. In this second part we want to go back to fighting for even more important positions. The margins are very narrow between all the teams, except for Red Bull, but Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari and ourselves are all there in terms of performance. We want to stay in this fight until Abu Dhabi."

“We have some updates for the Netherlands: we are in the F1 Champions League”
Looking at the first races of the season, Aston seemed to be the second largest force on the track. However, things have changed over time. How is it possible? Word to Alonso: “I think this is Formula 1. Things change and quickly too: it was a surprise for us to see how fast the car was initially, but this also means that we worked very well in all areas. At the moment we are fighting in the 'Champions League' of Formula 1 and we must try to continue like this. We hope to have a clear idea, also for next year, also thanks to the new aerodynamic updates that we will bring here to Zandvoort, hoping they will give us the results we are looking for".
