We are at the end of the Saudi Arabian GP weekend. There Race 2 of F1 Academy had as its protagonist not only the winner Doriane Pin. But also Lola Lovinfosse who, fresh from the penalty received in Race 1, due to a karma maneuver he suffers a racing accident with the driver Chambers which triggers, like a butterfly effect, other racing accidents.
Inexperience of Lia Block, victim of a previous accident
Although skill is the basis of motorsport, sometimes experience is the master of the race. This is what happened in Race 2 of the F1 Academy. Lola Lovinfosse, Rodin driver and Charlotte Tilbury livery, is rear-ended by Chloe Chambers, Campos driver and Haas livery.
The collision causes Lola to go out and, in a blind corner, is hit by Lia Block. A mistake due to inexperience which can be forgiven, for now, but which makes it clear that - on the contrary - Bianca Bustamante is a good driver. The driver in McLaren livery manages to predict and, with an eye on the blind spot, she avoids contact and cuts on the chicane. Block also received a 5" penalty for excessive speed in PL. Lola Lovinfosse, however, gets 5 positions for the next race weekend due to a very abrupt and dangerous return to the track.
The safety car gives an unmissable opportunity to Abbi Pulling who starts attacking the leader Doriane Pin. However, the Frenchwoman was very good at defending herself, as was Maya Weug who - from third position - defended herself from Nerea Marti in fourth.
F1 academy race 2: Doriane Pin and the extra lap, too comfortable in her seat
Reema Juffali, Wild Card of the GP and experience to spare, goes off the track, causing the second Safety Car of Race 2.
Chloe Chambers takes a 5" penalty for investigating racing accidents. At the end of the safety car, Dorian Pin continues to defend his position, not of the same fate Maya weug struggling with Nerea Martin for the third place battle. Unlucky too Aurelia Nobels which loses the rear wing due to a contact with the curb which causes it to lose speed and grip. Forced to training camp, Nobels, Juffali and Lovinfosse.
To win is Dorian Pin with also the additional point of the fastest lap taken on the last lap in second Abbie Pulling. Maya Weug concludes the podium of Race 2 of the F1 academy, the same as race 1. Also Doriane, below investigation, takes an extra lap for not realizing the checkered flag. She will probably have a warning, here too inexperience to be forgiven for the young twenty-year-old Frenchwoman.
They expect updates on any others penalty to Chloe Chambers and Bianca Bustamante.
Last updated: Doriane Pin climbs to ninth position, Abbi Pulling wins in her place. The reason is an extra lap of the track for not having noticed the checkered flag.
