There is a need for calm. At home Ferrari the season it certainly didn't start in the best way. The race in Bahrain highlighted some shortcomings on the SF-23, which however seems to have underperformed.
Domenicali: "The season has just begun"
Il retirement of Charles Leclerc is undoubtedly the image that fully represents the first race of the season red. An unexpected KO, on which there is still no certain information, which does not exclude the possibility of seeing the Monegasque face the penalty already in Saudi Arabia. It was a bad blow for Leclerc, but his goal now is to become the stable leader, taking it on his shoulders. This is what F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said: “The very important step that we saw from Red Bull worries others, but in my experience I say that you have to be very careful. We saw it last year when there was a Ferrari in great form after the first three races, leading by many points and everyone was saying that the season was over. But then it turned out differently. We must not forget that there are important constraints. Last year Red Bull had to pay a penalty for the budget cap, which will have an effect during this world championship."
“Charles can't afford mistakes”
Coming to the retreat that involved Charles Leclerc, the CEO of F1 he wanted to send a very clear message to the Monegasque, showing him the path he must follow if his goal is called global: "If the frustration - said Domenicali - enter the mental dimension of a great athlete the problems are others. I think a great athlete, right in these moments, must have the personality to be a point of reference within the team. Charles knows that these are important and determining years, especially for him, therefore he must expect the team to put at his disposal a car that is the best, but at the same time he can't afford any kind of mistakes, otherwise the problem becomes bigger."
“You need maximum concentration”

However, he must also be very pragmatic, because winning with Ferrari has a unique and extraordinary meaning but other teams can't give him the chance to fight for victory. At this moment there must be maximum concentration to work as a driving force within the team which is certainly going through a difficult period”.
