On the day of the presentation of the new AMR24, Aston Martin announces Jack Crawford like New pilot del Junior programme. After leaving the Red Bull Academy in 2023, the American will be supported from this season by the British team.
Who is Jak Crawford?
Carlton Jack Crawford, is an American pilot born on May 2, 2005 in Charlotte, North Carolina. His debut aboard karts took place in 2011, while his debut in minor formulas dates back to 2018, the year in which he classified second in the NACAM Formula 4 Championship. In 2020 instead he began his adventure overseas, moving to Europe to take part in the Formula 4 ADAC and that Italian company.
The following year was full of commitments for the American driver, who raced for Van Amersfoort Racing in Formula 3 and Euroformula Open with Motopark. The move to the Prema team in 2022, turned out to be the right choice for Jak, who found himself in the list for the fight for the champion title until the final round in Monza.
After post-season testing at the Yas Marina circuit, Crawford was chosen by HitechGP to drive the single-seater Formula 2 in the 2023 season. Driving a new car creates difficulties, but after managing to overcome the first obstacles he reached the podium 5 times, even reaching the top step during the Sprint Race at the Red Bull Ring.

Farewell to the Red Bull Junior Team
Jack Crawford joined the Red Bull junior Academy in 2020, when he was only 14 years old. After 4 years together, at the end of 2023 the streets of the American and that of the Milton Keynes team they split. It was Crawford himself who made the announcement via her social media profiles in which she thanked the program that saw him - but also allowed him - to grow.

Crawford is a driver in the Aston Martin Junior programme
Crawford will be a junior Aston Martin driver starting from the 2024 season. The news arrived on February 12, the day on which it was presented at Silverstone the new team car, AMR24. Jak will be in charge of work on the simulator at the AMR Technology Center as well as being able to drive a Formula 1 car during the year, getting behind the wheel of the AMR22.

Jak Crawford was also welcomed by the Aston Martin Team Principal, Mike Krack. "Jak has shown a lot of potential throughout his young career,” Krack said. Then continuing: “As part of the team's growth, we want to offer young talents a valid development program. I'm sure Jak will make the most of what this program has to offer him".
